General Information
The “House” league is for U6-U8 recreational players and consists of two seasons – Fall and Spring. All teams are from within the Canton Soccer Club. |
Seasons
Fall Season starts after Labor Day weekend and goes through October. Registration is June 1 - July 1.
Spring Season starts mid-April and goes until mid-June. Registration is January 1 - February 1.
Fall 2011 Pricing
Resident - $105.00
Non-Resident - $130.00
Spring 2012 Pricing
Returning Resident - $70.00
Returning Non-Resident - $95.00
New Resident - $105.00
New Non-Resident - $130.00
In the fall each player receives a new uniform. If they continue into the spring season (returning player) they do not get another uniform so their price is lower than a "new" player.
Registration Rules
- All teams are single gender and assigned by date of birth. The age cut-offs are determined by the MSYSA (Michigan State Youth Soccer Association) and are shown on the main page of the program’s registration.
- Requests for House League placement are not accepted.
- If your child played on a team during the fall session, they will be guaranteed a spot on that team for the spring provided they register on time.
For new registrations:
- Children will be placed on teams randomly.
- No requests for teams or coaches will be accepted.
- Children will be placed in the order that they are registered.

Payment must be received within 7 days of registration or by the end of the registration period; whichever comes first. If payment is not received within this timeframe, your child may not be placed on a team.
If you register late (waitlist), your child will be placed on a team with open positions. They are not guaranteed a position on a team, even if they are a returning player. Someone from the club will contact you when a spot is open. You have 48 hours to accept (and pay) or decline the spot.
Games
All games are played in Canton. The main fields used are Independence, Heritage Park, Freedom Park and Griffin Park.
Games are played primarily on Saturdays with a few weekday games due to field availability.
Weekday Games - typically girls will play on Tuesdays and boys will play on Wednesdays.

Practices
Practices are coordinated by the coaches and are completely dependent upon their availability. Typically coaches will practice once a week (Mon-Thurs) at or after 5pm.
Uniforms
If your child is receiving a uniform, the club will distribute them to your coach. Coaches will receive their team uniforms at the Spring Coaches Meeting and will pass them out during their pre-season practices. If you have an issue with your uniform, you must go through your coach who will contact the League Coordinator.
