Celtic Ready For Another Big Season!

Welcome to Canton Celtic '94 Black ... the premier boys soccer team in the Canton Soccer Club, one of the largest youth soccer organizations in the country.
Celtic plays in the prestigious Midwest Regional League (MRL), and under the leadership of Ian Jones, finished the 2008-2009 season with a 4-2 record against teams from around the midwest. In tournament play, Celtic advanced to the State Cup quarterfinals for the second consecutive season, were finalists at the John Talley Showcase in Memphis, and champions at the Canton Cup.
Celtic enters the 2009-2010 ranked by National Soccer Ranking as the Midwest's #26 team, and is ranked #6 in Michigan.
Comprised of boys from seven high schools, the boys have a new coach in Kieran Savage and three new players on the roster.
Celtic has set its sights on advancing through to State Cup semifinals and finals this season. The team has been named the tournament's overall #4 seed and is the top seed in a group that includes Michigan Burn, Vardar East and Fraser United.
In addition, Celtic will
travel to Dayton in March for the Ohio Galaxies Football Club College Showcase, and will again host a division of the Canton Cup over Memorial Day weekend. In advance of the Ohio Galaxies tournament, Celtic will participate in a series of Friendlies at Olivet College against Kingdom Reserve, TNT and Jaier.
Several members of the team were selected to play on Michigan Football Club teams at the Score at the Shore Tournament and College Showcase in February.
Celtic won their indoor league at Total Soccer Complex, going through undefeated in a division that featured three MRL teams.
